About Me

Where the Arena Meets the Soul

I wasn't born into the western lifestyle; as a first-generation cowgirl, I built my way into it. My rodeo journey started in 2009 when I first turned a barrel, but the path wasn't easy. Growing up in Northern Quebec, the opportunities to pursue my dreams in the horse industry were limited. I knew that if I wanted to succeed, I had to be adventurous and take risks. With French as my first language and a world of challenges ahead of me, I moved away from home. From the mines of Quebec to the rodeo arenas in the States and Alberta, my journey has been defined by one thing: The Horse.

The Horse Comes First

Moving away from home changed me. It made me a more resilient, compassionate, and humble person. It taught me that success isn't just about winning; it's about the people you meet, the mistakes you learn from, and the knowledge you gain. In 2025, I graduated from Olds College in Alberta as a certified Equine Massage Therapist. Today, I've returned to my roots to provide the resources and support that my community deserves, turning my passion into a business that gives back to both the rider and the horse.

Hi, I'm Florence. I am a Barrel racer, a welder, and a therapist. But above all, I am an advocate for the sport and the animal. My values are simple: Respect, Trust, Innovation, Collaboration, and Durability. As a welder in my family's mining business, I learned the value of a "built-from-nothing" work ethic from my mom and my veteran father.

Hard work clearly runs in the family, because I also spent time as a competitive bodybuilder, sharing the stage as a bikini competitor alongside my mom, aunt, and grandmother. Pushing my own body to those limits gave me a profound understanding of the physical demands placed on both human and equine athletes. It’s this firsthand experience that shows me just how vital massage therapy is to their performance, recovery, and overall well-being.

Two Worlds, One Mission

With my business FB Equine Massage, and my Online Boutique Rodeo Bloom, my mission is to offer quality products and services for both the rider and the horse. I believe that every detail is important. From the right equipment and the right mindset to a horse that feels 100%.

The story behind the name of the company:

People often ask me why I chose the name Rodeo Bloom.

The word "Bloom" represents the journey of growth. I’ve learned that we are always evolving. Just like a flower, success in rodeo and in life doesn't happen overnight; it requires the right environment, the right care, and the resilience to keep growing through the seasons.

An homage to my Biggest Fan

The heart of the name, however, belongs to my grandmother. She was my biggest supporter; we were really close. She loved watching me train, compete, and she was always there to cheer me on. Her own passion was her garden.

The last word she wrote is Flower. This was the last word on her grocery list. I have it tattooed in her exact handwriting. Today, my horses live in the barn my grandpa built at their property, surrounded by the memory of her gardens.

Happy shopping, please let me know if you have any questions!
